A manufacturing business has been granted planning permission for a temporary office expansion.

Workdry International in Bournemouth Road, Chandler’s Ford will build a three-storey modular building to accommodate its growing workforce.

The temporary structure, to be supplied by Portakabin Ltd, will serve as office space for two years.

The company, which shares its premises with Selwood Limited, said it has outgrown its current facilities.

The planned building, with a total floor area of 639 square metres, will house 34 employees, with the number varying daily between 20 and 50.

The variation in numbers is due to differing work schedules, meetings, and training sessions.

Workdry International manufactures components for water and wastewater handling and treatment.

A spokesperson for the company said: "The proposed temporary accommodation also makes use of current transport infrastructure as the temporary building will be installed within the site curtilage."

This expansion is part of Workdry International’s strategy to ensure smooth operations while it transitions to a larger headquarters.
