A young boy is in the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries following a crash in Totton.
The serious road crash involving a van – a Vauxhall Vivaro - and a child on a scooter happened near Boniface Close, Totton, which police were called to at 3.30pm today.
A boy, aged under ten, has been taken to the hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries, police say.

Police remain at the scene, and road closures are currently in place between the junction of Water Lane and Calmore Road and Water Lane and Boniface Close.
Also in attendance were South Central Ambulance Service and Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "These closures are likely to remain in place for the rest of the evening. Please avoid the area and find alternative routes.
