A FAREHAM man has been hospitalised after a crash involving a John Deere tractor and a Ford Transit van on a Hampshire country road.

The accident happened just before midday on Wednesday, April 30 on Southwick Road near Wickham.

The man, in his 30s, is seriously injured, although his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Hampshire Constabulary are investigating the crash.

A police spokesperson said: "Officers were called shortly before midday today (Wednesday 30 April) to a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the B2177 Southwick Road.

"The vehicles involved were a Ford Transit van and a John Deere tractor.

"The driver of the van, a man in his 30s from Fareham, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

"Officers are investigating the incident and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding it.
