A hit West End and Broadway musical is set to come to Southampton as part of its first UK and Ireland tour in 2027, the Echo can reveal.
Mrs Doubtfire is set to take over the Mayflower Theatre on Commercial Road with performances from February 2 to 28, 2027.
The musical tells the story of out-of-work actor Daniel, who, after losing custody of his children in a divorce, creates the alter ego of Scottish nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire to stay in their lives.
As Daniel loses himself in his new character, Mrs Doubtfire teaches him valuable lessons about fatherhood.
The UK and Ireland tour will feature Gabriel Vick as Daniel Hillard, following his acclaimed performances in the West End.
He has also appeared in Avenue Q, Scrooge, Promises Promises, Sunny Afternoon, Once, Chariots of Fire, The Tempest, and many more.
