A man cycling to the stadiums of all 92 clubs in the Premier League and English Football League has ticked off St Mary's.

Matt Jopson, 31, from Newton-le-Willows in Merseyside, is heading to every single football ground within 50 days to raise money in memory of his uncle, who died from prostate cancer.

Southampton was number 60, meaning Matt is two thirds of the way there to visiting all teams in the top four divisions.

"I started the day in Portsmouth and through to Southampton was pretty cruisy, busy on the roads but never an issue," Matt said.

"I wasn't always eating the right stuff. I went through the New Forest and got a little bit lost, as I got past Bournemouth I hit a wall and lost my mind completely.

"It's probably one of the most challenging days so far to be fair."

Matt's journey began on March 30 at Wigan Athletic FC and will finish on May 18 at Goodison Park, home to Everton - the team his uncle, Terry Jopson, supported.
