A Totton man has been re-arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
The 37-year-old from Totton was initially arrested in connection with a suspected poaching incident on Netherton Road, Hurstbourne Tarrant.
The incident took place on October 24, when a man in his 50s was found with serious injuries after reportedly confronting a group of men in a field.
Police have said the men allegedly got into a vehicle, which then struck the victim, before driving away from the scene.
The injured man was taken to hospital with life-changing injuries but has since been discharged.

Following further evidence, the 37-year-old has now been re-arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
A 60-year-old woman from Totton has also been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
Both have been released on police bail as investigations continue.
