A Southampton man has been arrested by police on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs and being in possession of an offensive weapon.
In the early hours of Thursday morning officers in Totton arrested a 39-year-old man from Southampton on suspicion of several offences, following a stop search of a vehicle on Charnwood Close shortly after midnight.
In a statement, Hampshire Constabulary confirmed the suspect was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a “controlled drug of Class A,” and driving a motor vehicle with a “proportion of specified controlled drug above the specified limit,” late at night.

The 39-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife blade in a public place, after officers seized suspected Class A drugs, mobile phones, cash, and a lock knife from the scene.
A force spokesperson said: “The suspect remains in police custody at this time. Our enquiries are ongoing.”
