A residential road in Thornhill is set to be closed for a day due to repairs.
Campion Road will be closed from its junction with Hinkler Road to Sheridan Close this Friday between 8am and 4pm.
A letter sent to residents from Southampton City Council reveals that the road will shut for carriageway repairs and that a diversion route will be signposted throughout the day.
Before the work begins, "no-waiting" cones may be put out to reserve the area and vehicles blocking access may be removed.

However, the letter does warn that the dates for the work could change depending on the weather.
If there are any changes to the schedule, yellow "advance warning" signs will be put up.
Refuse collections will still be faciliated throughout the day but if residents have access needs or are expecting large deliveries, they are advised to speak to the team on-site.
The letter also apologises as properties close to the work area may experience temporary disturbances caused by flashing lights or loud noises.
