A professional golfer who lives in Fareham is set to take on his biggest sporting challenge yet.

Paddy Towson Sheehy will play seven rounds of golf on seven courses in seven days in a bid to raise funds and awareness for motor neurone disease (MND).

The June challenge is in memory of his uncle Alan, who died from MND in 2019.

Paddy will finish his challenge on June 15 at Baildon Golf Club in Shipley, where his uncle played for many years.

During the week, the Fareham man will play an incredible 882 holes, covering a distance of approximately 177 miles.

He will start on June 9 at Headingley Golf Club in Leeds, in honour of Rob Burrow CBE, who died from MND last year.
