Street parties will be held across Gosport to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
Gosport Borough Council approved 33 grant applications, providing £3,300 for celebrations on May 8.
The council invited residents and groups to apply for £100 towards the cost of parties.
Among those given grants, parties will be taking place for the residents of Five Towers, Waterloo Road, Proctor Drive, Shalbourne Road, Parker Close, Normandy Gardens, Lodge Gardens, and many other locations.
Local schools including Lee Infant and Nursery School, Rowner Infants, and St John's CofE Primary received £100 grants.

Elson Church, Elson Community Library, Lee Hub, and the Royal Naval Association Club will also be throwing parties.
Gosport Borough Council leader, Cllr Peter Chegwyn, said: "May 8 marks 80 years since victory was declared to end the Second World War in Europe, and Gosport communities can now celebrate the momentous occasion with our support."
The parties will take place on different days around the anniversary.
