A volunteer lifeboat crew sprang into action to rescue sailors from a capsized dinghy in busy shipping lanes.

On Sunday, April 13, during a routine training exercise, one Calshot RNLI crew member spotted the dinghy capsized in a shipping lane.

Though initially, the sailors managed to right themselves, they capsized again soon after, whilst still in the shipping lane.

A spokesperson for the Calshot RNLI Lifeboat said: "After seeing them capsize again and with the dinghy still in the very busy shipping lane and the sailors becoming fairly tired, the D Class requested the assistance of the Atlantic 85 and, between them helped return both the sailing dinghy and sailors back to Calshot."

Once ashore, the sailors were able to warm up and recover from their ordeal.
