Two men found with cocaine and heroin have been slapped with a fine – and avoided jail.
Jean-Luc Hill-Dobson and Momodue Darboe appeared before Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday in relation to two different matters.
Hill-Dobson, 22, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine.
The court heard how he was caught with the Class A drug in Romsey on June 7, 2024.
Hill-Dobson, of High Firs Road, Romsey, was fined £120 and ordered to pay prosecution costs of £40 and a £48 surcharge.
An order was made by the magistrates for the cocaine to be forfeited and destroyed.

Darboe, of no fixed address, was also sentenced on Monday, April 14 for possession of Class A drugs.
The 24-year-old was found to be in possession of heroin in Southampton.
He was found with the drug on Saturday, April 12.
Darboe was fined £350 by the magistrates, who also made a forfeiture and destruction order for the heroin.
He was not ordered to pay costs or the surcharge as he has “no means to pay”.
