Council planning officers have given the green light to an application to demolish two buildings to make way for a new hotel.
The demolition of 382 Winchester Road and 169 Hill Lane has been conditionally approved by Southampton City Council and is set to be replaced by a part two, part three storey hotel.
Plans for redevelopment on the land were previously submitted in November 2023 and subsequently approved.

Documents attached said the building would be comprised of 20 services room with a staff office, café, ten parking spaces, secure cycle storage and e-scooter docking station at ground floor.
The application for the demolition says that this approved hotel "will be constructed" by the appointed contractor "once the site is cleared and handed over".
The two buildings set to be knocked down are positioned at the top of the busy Hollybrook Roundabout which connects Hill Lane and Winchester Road.
