A busy road through the centre of Hedge End is set to be hit with delays due to road works and drivers are being warned ahead of the works.

Botely Road in Hedge End is set to be hit with temporary traffic lights while crews work undertakes ‘utility asset works’ on the busy road.

These works are planned between Monday, April 21 and Monday, May 5.

The road is a busy one in the Southampton town as it is home to popular stores such as Wickes, Tileflair, Lexus Hedge End and the Hedge End Gym.

Drivers in Hedge End will be disappointed to know that the road will again be hit with road works later in May.

Hampshire County Council will require a full closure of the road between May 27 and June 12, although a diversion route will be in place.
