Tributes have been paid to a ‘lovely and caring’ life-long Saints fan whose life was cut tragically short at the age of 52.
Born and bred Southampton man, Kevin Lee Smith, tragically passed away due to issues with his heart on February 13, 2025.
Kevin was a long-term member of the Modrapheniacs Scooter Club and was a devoted Saints fan who would always show up to home and away games to support is beloved club.
Elisha Woodfield, 35, a close friend said: “Kevin was a lovely, kind and caring person that had made so many people laugh throughout his life and created so many memories with all sorts of different people.
“He was the kind of person who would give you his last pound.
“Kev used to support a single mother with five children who lived on his street – he became like a father to them and did it all out of the kindness of his heart.
“His friends used to call him ‘Lucky Kev’ – which is ironic as Kev never really had much luck all his life.”

Elisha said that Kev faced much adversity in his life and fell on hard times after his sister was killed in a traffic accident.
She continued: “Despite all Kev went through and even though he did not have a penny to his name when he died, he never lost the ability to make people smile.
“Sometimes Kev didn’t have money for heating or electric but that never stopped him putting other before himself.
“He would do anything for anyone and would love giving away the little money that he had to some of the children in the area.
“We are so saddened by his loss.”
A spokesperson for the Modrapheniacs Scooter Club said: “A few years ago, Kevin was a passionate scooterist and a member of Modrapheniacs.

“Kevin had demons though - He battled them hard through his life and managed to overcome the worst of them. No small achievement.
“Gone but not forgotten. RIP Lucky Kev.”
