A Southampton man has been charged with robbery and possession of a Class A drug following two separate incidents at convenience stores in the city.
Hampshire police confirmed that they were called at 7.13am on Wednesday to a report that a man had entered the Shirley Road Co-op store on Foyes Corner and threatened staff.
He left a short time later and nothing was taken.
Officers were then called again at 7.20am to a report that a man had entered the One Stop store on Park Road and threatened staff before stealing cash.

No injuries were reported on either occasion but an investigation was launched and officers arrested a 51-year-old man on Wednesday afternoon.
Dean David Keeping, 51, of Waterloo Road in Southampton, has now been charged with attempted robbery, robbery and possession of a Class A drug.
He has been remanded into custody and is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court today.
