Several pets in Hampshire are looking for their forever homes, including at the RSPCA Solent branch in The Stubbington Ark.
Whether you want to adopt a dog, cat, rabbit or guinea pig, there is plenty of choice.
A few animals from The Stubbington Ark are listed below but more can be found on the centre's website.
To help the RSPCA Solent branch carry on its work, you can donate to their website here.
Hero

Gender - Male
Age - Four years old
Breed - Greyhound
Colour - Brindle
If you want to adopt Hero you can view their full profile here.
Hero is described as a "gentle soul" who loves people and walking with his greyhound friends.
The RSPCA recommends him being muzzled when walking in public areas due to him being an ex-racer. However, he is fully muzzle-trained and wears it very well.
They add: "This is purely because of his potential to chase small animals however, we haven’t seen him attempt to do this while with us and he does not need the muzzle for any other reason."
Hero would benefit from having a garden with 6ft high fences where he can run around easily and let off steam.
He has never lived in a home before, so adopters will need to encourage appropriate behaviour and be patient with him.
Hero could potentially live with secondary school-age children.
Doug

Gender - Male
Age - Four years old
Breed - Greyhound
Colour - Black
If you want to adopt Doug you can view their full profile here.
Doug is described as a "gentle, quiet and friendly boy" who thrives on human company.
He had a high prey drive due to being an ex-racing greyhound so will need to be muzzled when out on walks.
Doug would benefit from a quiet home with a large secure garden and no visiting cats.
The RSPCA adds: "Due to his prey drive Doug cannot be homed with cats or any small animals. Doug could live with another sighthound pending successful meets at the centre."
Stitch
Stitch (Image: RSPCA)
Gender - Male
Age - One year old
Breed - Syrian Hamster
Colour - Brown and White
If you want to adopt Stitch you can view their full profile here.
Stitch is said to be a "reserved" hamster who enjoys the comforts of his cosy burrow bed by day.
Come evening his curious side emerges, where he starts foraging for his food and working away at a new enrichment activity.
Stitch is quite new to being handled, and therefore can attempt to try and jump away if it gets too much for him.
However, he is gaining more confidence over time with positive, predictable and calm interactions.
Stitch will need a minimum of 100cm by 50cm enclosure of unbroken floor space and deep bedding for burrowing (not wood shavings).

Tizzy and Shylo

Gender - Female
Age - 10 months old
Breed - Domestic longhair and Domestic shorthair
Colour - Black & White and Tabby
If you want to adopt Tizzy and Shylo you can view their full profile here.
Tizzy and Shylo are sisters who are looking to find a loving new home together.
They were both a bit nervous when first arriving at the Stubbington Ark and were found to be noise sensitive.
Therefore, the RSPCA recommends starting them from their own unused room to initially settle in before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a garden.
Tizzy and Shylo need to be only pets in the home and can live with older aged secondary school children who will be quiet around them while they settle.
