A pet sitting and dog walking business has celebrated its 10-year anniversary.

Petpals Romsey & Chandler’s Ford, run by husband-and-wife team Matt and Louise Wilder, has been caring for pets in the area for a decade.

The couple combined Matt's finance management skills with their shared love for animals to create the business.

Matt said: "We can’t quite believe it’s been 10 years already.

"Over the past decade, we’ve steered a fledgling business through some truly unexpected times – from the Beast from the East to the pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis.

"Through it all, our commitment to caring for people’s beloved pets has never wavered."

Petpals is the UK’s longest-established multi-service pet care specialist, providing services including dog walking, cat visits, pet sitting, and pet taxis.

The business has cared for a variety of animals over the years, including rabbits, chinchillas, and even a Harris’s hawk, but their main focus has always been dogs and cats.

Louise said: "Whether it’s helping with pet behaviour or health issues or simply providing comfort and companionship, we treat every pet as if they were our own."

The couple believe their success is partly due to being a husband-and-wife team.

Louise added: "Our clients know exactly who’s looking after their pets and who’s holding their keys.

"Being fully committed and invested in the business means we’re always focused on delivering the best possible service."

To celebrate their milestone, Matt and Louise will be offering a 10 per cent discount to all clients using their services from April 25 to April 27.

They will also be donating 10 per cent of their weekend income to a local animal charity.

Matt said: "We’re so proud of everything we’ve achieved over the last 10 years.

"The fact that we’ve built this business from scratch and maintained that same level of care and commitment for a decade shows how much we love what we do."
