The following cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court:

BABOUCARR JATTA, 50, of Grove Road, Southampton, was found guilty of a charge of speeding after he was caught driving at 66mph on the M27 westbound between junctions 10 and 9, where a 50mph limit was in place, on July 28, 2023. He was given four points on his licence and ordered to pay a £500 fine. He must also pay costs of £110 and a £200 surcharge.

KIRSTIE HOWELL, 47, of Mill Road, Heene, admitted a charge of speeding after she was caught driving at 89mph on the M27 westbound between junctions 10 and nine, where there was a 70mph limit in place, on August 4, 2023. She was fined £230 and given three points on her licence. She must also pay £110 costs and a £92 surcharge.

GREZEGORZ MASLOWSKI, 39, of Millbrook Road West, Southampton, was found guilty during trial to a charge of exceeding a temporary 50mph speed restriction on the M3 northbound between junctions 12 and 11, on August 10, 2023, by driving at 69mph. He was given five points on his licence and fined £80 and must pay prosecution costs of £110.

ROBERT HALL, 47, of Cerne Close, North Baddesley, admitted a charge of speeding after he was caught driving an Iveco lorry at 38mph in a 30mph area on the A31, Winchester Road, Four Marks, on January 19, 2023. He was slapped with a £400 fine and three points on his licence. He must also pay costs of £110 and a £160 surcharge.

EDGAR MARQUES, 50, of Southcote Road, Bournemouth, pleaded guilty to a charge of speeding after he was caught driving at 38mph on a 30mph road, the A27 Bridge Road, Sarisbury Green, on April 4, 2023. He was fined £130 and handed three points on his licence, and must pay £110 prosecution costs and a £52 surcharge.
