The drummer from an iconic funk band is set to take to a coffee shop and cocktail bar tonight.
Derrick McKenzie, drummer of the Grammy-winning band Jamiroquai, is set to perform at Good Things on Canute Road tonight.
Derrick will join DJ and producer Ridney in the basement of the coffee shop, which evolves into a cocktail bar at night and is known for its hi-fidelity sound system.
Good Things tells customers to "talk less, listen more" in their professionally sound-proofed listening area, where customers often enjoy full album listening sessions.

The coffee shop opened in August 2024 and has since opened a downstairs venue in its basement for larger music events.
Derrick himself joined Jamiroquai in 1993 when he replaced original drummer Nick van Gelder.
In his audition, he recorded the track "Just Another Story" in just one take, winning him a permanent spot in the band.
He would go on to drum in hits like "Space Cowboy", "Canned Heat" and "Virtual Insanity".
