A diabetes support group is set to showcase a garden at a popular gardening event.

The Winchester and Eastleigh Diabetes UK Support Group will have their 'Living Well Garden' at the BBC Gardeners' World Spring Fair in Beaulieu from May 2 to 4.

The garden, designed by Katy Pomeroy from Pomeroy Garden Design, aims to show how gardening can help people with diabetes manage their condition.

The support group said: "The beautiful border designed by Katy is all about how gardening can help people with diabetes live well with their condition.

"The garden highlights how growing healthy food, staying active, improving sleep, reducing stress can all play a role in managing diabetes and enhancing well-being."

The garden is being created with the help of volunteers, Hampshire County Council, and a grant from the BBC Gardeners' World.

The group hopes the garden will raise awareness of diabetes and help those living with the condition.
