Developers at a supermarket in Totton are looking to axe 21 parking spaces for the installation of electric car chargers and jet wash bays.
Plans have been lodged to remove the spaces in a corner of the Morrisons car park on Spruce Drive to make way for eight EV charging bays.
Some 21 bays would be taken away for the installation of a canopy, sub-station enclosure, meter cabinet, four jet wash bays and associated works for the chargers.

This would also lead to the removal of the existing hand car wash space, with the application's proposed site plan also showing that two trees would be removed and a kerb would be reallocated.
Shrubs would also be cut back.
A proposed plant room would go in one of the parking spaces set to be cut.
The rest of the customer parking spaces would be unaffected and the entry and exit points of the car park would also remain the same.
