A HAMPSHIRE man received a great honour for his photography work.
Stephen Nicholls, 68, is a massive cricket fan and is also an amateur photographer. However, he is in his first year as an ECB-accredited photographer (England and Wales Cricket Board).
This year Stephen has entered one of his pictures into The Wisden Photographer Competition.
The Wisden Photographer Competition was launched in 2010 and it is open to all, both professional and amateur photographers from all over the world.
It attracts about 500 entrants per year. The only stipulation is that the photo must have been taken in the year of the competition and must have a cricket theme.

This year's sponsor is FlashBack, the producer of a small retro digital camera.
This picture is a runner-up in the Wisden competition (Image: Stephen Nicholls) The photograph that Stephen entered was taken on an overcast August 7 2024 at The Utilita Bowl in Southampton, as Hampshire's 18-year-old Dom Kelly completed a hat trick and five-wicket haul to take Hampshire to a win over Derbyshire in The Metro Bank Cup 50-over game.
The last time there had been a Hampshire Cricket hat trick was in 1981.
It has recently been announced that Stephen's picture was one of the runners-up in the amateur section.
This is a fantastic achievement and one that he is very proud of.
