A masterplan for Totton town centre's regeneration is in the works and will see a panel of residents set up to scrutinise ideas.
The plan will focus on improving access and connectivity, transforming underused brownfield sites, and creating better public spaces.
This follows a 2022 community engagement project, which explored ways to enhance the town centre.
Councillor Derek Tipp, portfolio holder for economy and planning, said: "The Totton Town Centre Framework Masterplan aims to co-design an improved, vibrant town centre in collaboration with the local community and a team of experts."

The project, overseen by the New Forest District Council and the Totton Partnership, will have support from AR Urbanism, Urban Delivery, and Feria Urbanism.
The next step involves setting up a panel of local residents to provide feedback and guidance on emerging ideas.
Details on how to apply for panel membership will be released soon.
The Totton Partnership consists of local organisations and statutory bodies interested in the town's regeneration and economic growth.
