Plans have been lodged to replace 25 parking spaces at a retail park with a self-service car wash.
The application has been made by Ecco Wash to bring four jet wash units to Antelope Park in Thornhill, which is home to the likes of Lidl, The Range, The Gym and Ninja Warrior.
Documents filed suggest that the proposal will provide a "highly sustainable service for local residents and users of the site" and also provide "employment opportunities for 1-2 part time staff".

The planning statement also mentions the implementation of an "acoustic fence to the southeast", "enclosure of the wash bays" and "limited operating hours" between 7am and 7pm as measures to prevent background noise for residents.
Overall, 25 spaces will be axed in the car park, leaving spots for 360 cars.
Antelope Park is set to be home to a new indoor children's soft play area ran by the Wonder World Group in the coming months.
The group, which has a rich history of running indoor play centres in Scotland, is now set to expand its operations in Southampton.
