A charity is holding an event to raise awareness of the leading cause of sight loss.
The Macular Society will be at Lymington Community Centre between 10.30am and 12pm on Wednesday, April 9, to provide support for those affected by macular disease, which causes central vision loss.
The charity said it will be an opportunity for people with macular conditions, as well as their friends, family, or carers, to learn more about living with sight loss and the support available.
Tyler Phillips, Macular Society regional manager for south central, said: "People can often feel isolated and confused after a diagnosis of macular disease, so we'll be in Lymington to let people know exactly what local help and support is available to them, and to answer any questions people have about life with sight loss."
For more information on macular disease and to get support, call the Macular Society Helpline on 0300 3030 111 or visit the website: macularsociety.org.
