Plans for 17 affordable houses on land next to a Grade II-listed barn have been approved by New Forest District Council.
Land at Milton Barns in New Milton is currently used informally for events by the restaurant operating in the adjacent barn, but documents lodged want to build four buildings accessed via Gore Road.
The buildings will comprise a total of 3 flats and 14 houses, using the road that already serves the restaurant in the barn.

Planning officers said that the new housing will not "directly effect the fabric of the structure" of the existed Grade II building, which is "outside the application site".
The housing is proposed for land with a strategic policy designation for housing, alongside a large nursery business further along Gore Road to the west.
A total of 30 car parking spaces will be shared between all units for both residents and visitors.
