The ABP Southamoton Marathon will be returning to the city on Sunday (April 6) for its 10th anniversary with several different races taking place.

Aside from the main event in the marathon, there will also be a half-marathon, 10k and 5k race.

Therefore, there should be a challenge that suits most fitness levels, ensuring plenty can take part.

If you want to know when these individual races will be starting, here's the information you need.

What are the start times at the 2025 Southampton Marathon?

Marathon

The main event will begin in Guidhall Square and is set to start at 9am.

The route will take runners to various places in the city, including the Itchen Bridge and St Mary's Stadium.

Half-marathon

Like the marathon, the half-marathon will also start at 9am.

10k and 5k runs

These shorter distances will start a little later than the marathon and half-marathon at 9.45am.

Fun Run

The one-mile Fun Run will be taking place later in the afternoon at 3.30pm and will be suitable for all ages and abilities.

What time should runners arrive at the 2025 Southampton Marathon?

No matter what distance you're running, you should aim to be on site at least an hour and a half before your official start time, the event website states.

It adds: "There will be queues for parking and toilets, so it is best to be prepared!"

Additionally, participants that signed up for the event after March 10th and international runners will need to collect their race bibs on the Saturday or early Sunday morning before their starting time.

These will be available to pick up at the registration tent in Guildhall Square on Saturday, April 5 between 10am and 2pm.

Alternatively, you can pick them up from Watts Park on Sunday, April 6 between 7am and 9.30am.
