A new flight route from Southampton Airport to Paris has been launched.
Airline easyJet has officially launched its eighth route from Southampton Airport, with a new twice-weekly service to Paris Orly. The first flight was on Monday.
This addition marks a key connection to the French capital, offering travellers more choice for summer 2025 and adding yet another popular destination to its growing network.
The year-round new service will operate twice per week on Mondays and Fridays, with easyJet planning up to 21 weekly departures from Southampton during peak summer 2025.
This represents a 31 per cent increase compared to summer 2024, highlighting the airline’s ongoing commitment to expanding services from Southampton and strengthening connectivity between the Central South region and Europe.
Paris Orly offers seamless access to the French capital, with just 25 minutes by public transport from the airport to central Paris.
Additionally, frequent daily shuttle buses connect Paris Orly directly to Euro Disney, creating even more opportunities for family-friendly travel to this iconic destination.
Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK country manager, said: "Our new twice weekly service from Southampton to Paris Orly will provide our customers in the south of England with a convenient connection to the French capital.
"Paris provides the perfect place for a stunning city break or a gateway to explore France and we look forward to welcoming more customers onboard this summer."
Since launching flights from Southampton in 2017 to Geneva, easyJet has gone from strength to strength and has now flown 300,000 passengers to and from the airport.
In the past 18 months, the airline has launched routes to Alicante, Amsterdam, Belfast, Faro, Glasgow, and Palma de Mallorca, with Paris Orly becoming its eighth route from Southampton.
Gavin Williams, managing director of Southampton Airport, said: "We’re thrilled to welcome easyJet’s new route to Paris Orly, further strengthening Southampton Airport’s role as a key gateway for the Central South.
"This addition not only connects our region to one of the world’s most iconic cities but also highlights the growing demand for convenient, well-connected travel options for the central south region."
