A hotel and spa has been sold after 50 years of family ownership.
Careys Manor Hotel and SenSpa in Brockenhurst has been bought by Myst Hotels and Resorts.
The sale marks the hospitality group's first international investment.
The 77-bedroom hotel has been owned by Greenclose Hotels for 50 years.
During this time, the hotel underwent significant investment, including a £6 million overhaul of its health club into a 24,000 sq feet Thai spa, SenSpa, and the expansion of the East Garden Wing as well as its multi-functional conference space.
The hotel has been recognised with numerous accolades, including four AA Silver Stars, the Good Spa Guide’s ‘Best Spa in the South-East’, and a Green Tourism Gold Award.
Myst Hotels and Resorts has said it is committed to preserving the hotel’s legacy while introducing strategic enhancements that will further elevate the guest experience.
Building on the success of the award-winning spa, the group plans to further strengthen the hotel’s wellness offering and sustainability credentials, ensuring Careys Manor remains a premier choice for both leisure and corporate travellers.
Sandip Gupta and Rajdip Gupta, founders and directors of Myst Hotels and Resorts, said: "We are delighted to make our first international hotel investment in the United Kingdom with Careys Manor Hotel and SenSpa.
"Situated in one of the most picturesque regions of the UK, the hotel has garnered an exceptional reputation for its outstanding hospitality and award-winning spa.
"We look forward to continuing to build on this success by enhancing the guest experience while preserving the essence of what makes Careys Manor so special."
James Hiley-Jones, managing director of Greenclose, said: "We are delighted to be passing on the baton to Myst Hotels and Resorts – a company that shares our values.
"It has been a rewarding 50-year journey and we are very proud of what we have achieved.
"Our brilliant team members, some with over 40 years of service, have been key to our success and we know they are in safe hands."
Greenclose continues to own and manage sister country house hotel The Montagu Arms in Beaulieu and the Llandudno seafront property, The Imperial Hotel.
