A traveller site in West End is seeking to expand with an extra pitch and day-room.
Submitted to Eastleigh Borough Council, the application has been submitted for the continued use of land at Willow Bee on Allington Lane as a private traveller site.
This proposal includes the addition of another pitch, a day-room, and alterations to the site entrance.
The application is being made by Daniel Bowers, who has been residing on the site since April 2024.
Spanning 0.21 hectares, the site is largely shielded from public view by high vegetation and timber gates.

The application states the site is sustainable for its residents, given its proximity to various facilities.
There are reportedly no available pitches on other gypsy and traveller sites in the area.
The application states the site "accords with the character of its surroundings," and would help meet the acknowledged pitch requirement.
Eastleigh Borough Council will decide on the application during its planning committee.
