Skygazers in Southampton captured some stunning photos of Saturday's partial solar eclipse.
The phenomenon occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth, though in this case the three are not completely aligned, so only part of the Sun is obscured.
In Southampton, the eclipse began at 10.04am, was at its maximum extent shortly after 11am, and ended just before midday.
Daily Echo Camera Club members were quick to send in their stunning photos of the eclipse.
The celestial event saw the sun obscured by the moon by as much as 47 per cent in parts of the UK.

“We have the technology and the understanding of space now to predict these things almost to the second."
