The green light has been given for developers to install two new electric vehicle chargers at a fast food restaurant in Hedge End.
Instavolt submitted a planning application to Eastleigh Borough Council to install two electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and associated equipment at McDonald’s Hedge End car park, located along Tollbar Way.
At least one charging station is always equipped with two connecting plans, and the rapid chargers used by InstaVolt operate at 160kW.

A public consultation was open until March 18 but now the plans have been permitted by Eastleigh Borough Council.
InstaVolt chargers accept contactless payments using debit or credit cards to make it easier for customers. Users can simply tap their card to pay for the amount of charging used, with no need to sign up for any apps or subscriptions.
On the application, Instavolt said that the two proposed EV charging units will provide “the essential infrastructure required” within the local area.
