Residents at a Southampton care home have shared cherished memories of their 'unforgettable mums' ahead of Mother's Day.

The group at Templeton Manor Care Home, in Hurst Way, put smiles on each other's faces as they shared their favourite recollections of their mothers on video.

Graham Hollier, 81, said of his mum Annie: "I remember a very patient, very loving, very caring lady who I had a tremendous amount of respect for."

Fellow resident Shelia Rafferty, 91, said she and her mum Vera had a shared hobby.

Home Manager Kay Mitchell said: "We wanted to do something extra special this year to mark Mother's Day, to help our residents celebrate their own mothers.

"Hearing our wonderful residents' tender memories of their mothers and how kind they were shows that no matter what your age, you never forget your mum."
