A local theme park has said that "summer is on its way" as a fan-favourite water ride has reopened today.

Paultons Park's beloved "Splash Lagoon", the mini flume ride that arrived at the park in 2024, is now back in action for the summer season.

The theme park's website describes the flume as a "Jurassic water boat adventure for junior thrill-seekers", which is located within the Lost Kingdom section.

A boat takes riders through "gentle rapids" and then plunges parkgoers with "an exciting drop" towards the end of the ride.

A Facebook post from the park said: "Explore uncharted waters with lots of dinosaurs to spot on your Jurassic adventure.

"Don’t miss out on the perfect way to beat the heat, Splash Lagoon awaits you."

The ride reopens ten days after plans were revealed that the theme park is looking to build a new holiday village which would accommodate 700 guests.
