As the days get longer and brighter, some may see camping as a great way to get outdoors and enjoy the weather.
Choosing a camping site can be tricky, some may not have the money to travel to some of the country’s “best”.
For those who may be looking to go to a highly-rated cheap one closer to home, there is a great option in Sussex.
The Times has rounded up seven of the UK’s best family-friendly campsites under £50, with one in Sussex being highlighted.

Introducing the list, it reads: “There are cultural city weekends and got-it-all resorts, but when it comes to formative holidays few breaks can rival the classic family camping trip.
“When stripped back to the basics of tents, simple campfire-cooked meals and the great outdoors, memories are made, skills are learnt and real adventures begin. Well, that’s the idea.
“Whether you want off-grid grassy meadows or a hideaway with facilities galore, we’ve rounded up the country’s finest family-friendly campsites, each with pitches where you can bring your tent and set up home for under £50 per night, based on two adults and two children.”

Sussex campsite named one of the best in the country
The Sussex spot named on the list was Wowo Campsite in Uckfield, East Sussex.
The Times said this five-field campsite “has thought of everything”.
It said: “There are fire pits for nightly marshmallow-toasting sessions, Saturday night live music performances, fun workshops ranging from potion-making to archery, and food vans serving fish and chips, pizza and pie and mash. And it’s not just catering to tykes.
“Adults get a “wild spa” with a sauna, local beers and there’s even a dedicated WFH space with wi-fi and treeline views should you need to check emails (or escape for an hour to catch up on the latest Netflix drama).”
