Beaulieu's Palace House is set to open more private rooms for public visits this Easter.
These additions mark the start of the 2025 season and include themed rooms that were once part of Edward, Lord Montagu’s private apartment.
Lord Montagu, who succeeded his father 10 years ago, has opened refurbished rooms as part of a joint project with Solent University’s interior design department.
Lord Montagu said: "The design of these bedrooms and bathrooms comes from a very fruitful collaboration with students who came up with some wonderful ideas to ensure that each room has a distinctly different theme.
"They took their inspiration from the gardens of Palace House, Montagu family history and the Solent which borders the estate."
Several themed rooms including the Heraldry Room, Meadow Room, and Motor Room will be open for public viewing.
Each room has a unique design, with features such as an embroidered griffin crest, painted rose trees, vintage tyre tread pattern wallpaper, and model cars.
Other rooms such as the Oak Room, Water Babies Bathroom, and Throne Room will also be accessible to the public.
These rooms have been completely refurbished, with some elements restored and upcycled from the original furnishings of Palace House.
Working alongside students, local craftspeople contributed significantly to this project.
Visitors will be able to explore the new bedrooms and bathrooms as part of a ticket to Beaulieu.
This ticket also includes entry to the National Motor Museum, Little Beaulieu adventure playground, Beaulieu Abbey, the Secret Army Exhibition, unlimited rides on the tree-top monorail, and access to the grounds and gardens.
A new exhibition, 'We Had One Of Those', is opening at Easter, showcasing popular cars from the 1960s to the noughties and beyond.
Tickets and further details are available at www.beaulieu.co.uk or by calling 01590 612345.
Lord Montagu said: "The challenge is to create some remarkable rooms which our visitors are still talking about long after they’ve left."
This challenge was taken up by third-year students, who have used their designs and experience as part of their coursework.
Work is underway on another further bedroom, with more details to be announced later.
