Ambulance statement in full
This was a collision just after 06:50 this morning between the ambulance and a car at the junction of Terminus Terrace with Canute Road/Platform Road whilst the vehicle was on blue lights on its way to an incident.
Once the crew alerted control to the collision, we then sent a paramedic team leader in a rapid response car and an ambulance to the scene.
The two members of staff, and one student paramedic, are uninjured but the vehicle has been taken out of service due to damage. The two occupants of the car are also uninjured and being taking home by Hampshire Police.
The incident that the team were going to was then responded to by another ambulance crew.
