A train operator has "launched an investigation" into an incident that saw a staff member working alone become unwell and taken to hospital by paramedics.
South Western Railway could add "additional measures" to its lone working policies as a result of the investigation, which was opened after police and ambulance services attended Chandler's Ford train station on March 17.
Emergency services discovered a woman inside the ticket office, who was sat up on the floor and breathing, but not responsive at the time.
Ambulance services arrived around 7.05pm, and once they were able to get inside, the patient was taken to University Hospital Southampton for further treatment.

South Western Railway has since confirmed to the Echo that an investigation has been launched.
A spokesperson for the train operator said: “We were shocked and saddened to hear our colleague became unwell while on duty.
"We have been in touch with her family and wish her a full and speedy recovery.
“The safety of everyone on our railway is always our number one priority. We have launched an investigation to understand the circumstances of this incident.
“We have mitigations in place to protect colleagues working on their own, and we will implement any additional measures following the outcome of the investigation.”
