More than 700 trench candles have been made for Ukrainian soldiers.
Dozens of Romsey Ukraine Support Group volunteers gathered at Woodley Scout Hall in Romsey on Sunday, March 23 to make the candles for soldiers on the frontline.
The candles are made by placing folded corrugated cardboard into tins, adding a cardboard wick, and then pouring melted wax into the tin.
This method means the trench candle burns brighter and produces more heat than normal candles.
Geoff Cooper, the Liberal Democrat spokesperson for Romsey and Southampton North, said: "It’s so important that we continue to support Ukraine in the face of ongoing aggression from Putin.
"The candles made today will provide a little warmth and light to those on the frontline, in what are still very dark times for the country and for Europe."
The trench candles will now be sent to Ukraine by the New Forest For Ukraine group, where they will be distributed to soldiers on the frontline.
