Grateful girls have delivered a series of cards to people who help us.

Members of the Southampton 3rd Test Rainbows, chose a lollipop man, teachers, a medical team and the fire service as the recipients of their beautifully designed pieces of artwork.

The four to seven-year-olds were taking part in their badge programme, hoping to achieve their take action stage 2 badge.

Leaders started a discussion about people who help us which led to the girls creating a card for fire fighters, who gave some of them a tour of the station.

Nurses on C7 Ward at University Hospital Southampton were grateful for their handmade gift, and the lollipop man at Newlands Primary School explained how he had been doing the job for 13 years.

The final card was delivered to Year R and Year 1 teaching staff at Mansel Park Primary School, which many of the rainbows attend.

The group, led by Emma Coomer, has expanded to 25 children from just six following the pandemic.
