A man has been charged with the rape of an 18-year-old woman in Gosport.
Multiple people spotted a heavy police presence around Rowner Road throughout the day on Sunday, and police have since told the Echo that they were called at 10.15pm on Saturday with reports of an incident.
They attended the calls, and said and said Yordan Alekov, 21, of Rowner Road in Gosport, has now been charged with the rape of the woman.
He was remanded to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court on Monday morning.
Hampshire police say that they are currently supporting the woman.
