Southampton football legend Matt Le Tissier is set to open Oakhaven Hospice's new charity shop.
The star will join Lymington and Pennington Town Mayor Jack Davies, as well as the BBC TV's The Repair Shop stars The Teddy Bear Ladies, at the launch of the new Home & Craft store on April 2.
This store will be located on St Thomas’ Street in Lymington.
The shop, which will be the ninth for the hospice, will open its doors at 10am.
It will provide enthusiasts with a wide range of haberdashery, fabrics, crafting materials, children’s crafts, books and games, kitchenware, dining ware, electrical goods, and other homeware.
Gary Taylor, head of retail, said: "We are delighted to be opening our new Home & Craft shop, which has been keenly awaited by quite a large following of crafters.
"In each of our charity shops, you will find a great team of staff and volunteers working together to help you, who pride themselves on delivering first-class customer service.
"We look forward to welcoming you soon."
This opening follows the closure of a pop-up craft shop in Lymington 18 months ago.
Oakhaven’s charity shops play a crucial role in generating funds for the hospice, which receives only 11 per cent of its funding from the NHS.
All donations and purchases help provide end-of-life care for patients, as well as specialist support for their families and loved ones, free of charge.
Oakhaven's care extends throughout the New Forest, Totton, and Waterside communities.
The Home & Craft shop is part of Oakhaven's network of charity shops, which includes the furniture, children's, fashion, and designer fashion shops in Lymington, as well as stores in Totton, New Milton, and two in Hythe.
Donations of items that can be carried in a bag or box are welcomed and can be dropped off at any of the Oakhaven shops during opening hours.
Details for donating larger items, or those that need collection, can be found on the Oakhaven Hospice website.
Further information about all of Oakhaven's charity shops can also be found on their website or by calling 01590 637781.
