Roadworks are set to begin on Rownhams Lane near North Baddesley.
Hampshire County Council will carry out the work from Friday, March 28, to Thursday, April 4.
The council's crews will be working on crack sealing and surface dressing between Bracken Road and Routs Way.
These works are part of the routine maintenance programme and are weather dependent.
Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly, as delays are expected.

The council also advises residents and businesses in the area to move their vehicles from the road during the duration of the work to allow the crews to work effectively.
A diversion route has been put in place: Start on Rownhams Lane, then turn right onto Bakers Drove and continue. Turn right towards Romsey Road, make a slight left, and then a sharp right onto Romsey Road.
Take another slight left, then continue. Turn left onto Luzborough Lane, then slightly left onto Botley Road.
Turn slightly right towards Rownhams Lane and continue to finish the diversion.
