A pile of rubbish has been dumped just under a fly-tipping warning sign in Shirley.
A table, armchair and other pieces of rubbish were left on the pavement in Emsworth Road and residents have taken to social media saying more needs to be done to stop fly-tippers.
Shirley resident Tony Weafer took to Facebook and said he thought it made "a mockery of the system".

He added: “This chair was fly-tipped on Emsworth Road middle of the week right under a sign warning against fly-tipping and across the road from another sign confirming that this area is a CCTV zone.
“This is yet another clear demonstration that the CCTV system in our city is in no way a deterrent, people have no fear of getting caught.”
Those caught fly-tipping in the UK can face a Fixed Penalty Notice of up to £400.
