A pervert found with a stash of women’s underwear in his car has been jailed after asking a teenage girl for a "cuddle".

Ryan Moger, 32, wept in the dock at Southampton Crown Court as he was sentenced for four offences against the child in her mid-teens.

Prosecuting, Andrew Houston revealed Moger had previously been convicted in 2015 of sexual activity with a child and was subject to a 10-year sexual harm prevention order (SHPO).

Moger claims he is “attracted to people with the same mental age” and is not attracted to children.

Mr Houston told the court how Moger asked the girl in the latest case for intimate pictures and a video of her “undressing and urinating”.

“In one message he asks if he should park in the car park where they ‘would not be seen’.

“The pair agreed to ‘cuddle and kiss’, with the defendant telling the girl he loved her.”

Mr Houston added: “It appears they agreed to meet for a ‘proper cuddle’, whatever that means”.

A few weeks later, Moger requested further intimate images and video of the victim.

He also requested she “only wears thongs” under her dresses.

The court heard how police were first alerted to Moger’s offending after an altercation  in August 2024. He then handed himself into police on November 4.

Moger, of Vine Road, Southampton, admitted meeting a girl under 16 after grooming, breaching the previous court order, inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity, and a charge of engaging in sexual communication with a child.

Judge Nicholas Rowland jailed him for two years and nine months and imposed a lifelong SHPO.

Passing sentence, judge Rowland said: “These remain serious offences."

Mitigating, Jamie Gammon said Moger has learning difficulties, which means he is “attracted to people of the same mental age” and “not attracted to children".

He said: “This is a man with limited development.”
