The preliminary cause of Mr Bremner's death has been given as trauma to the head, with Mr Wilkinson adjourning the inquest to February 11, 2026.

The Health and Safety Executive has disputed that Mr Bremner's death involved a cherry picker. A spokesperson said: "We are now leading the investigation into this incident and investigations are ongoing.

The HSE has been asked for clarification.

Marc Reddy, managing director of Stagecoach South, said: "We are saddened to confirm that there was a tragic incident at our Winchester depot involving one of our employees. We are working with the appropriate authorities, and our thoughts are very much with close family, friends and colleagues".
