A case against a man charged with child sex offences on the Isle of Wight has been dropped by prosecutors.
The case was discontinued at the Isle of Wight Crown Court on Friday (March 14).
Ryan Loveday, 20, of Valetta Way in Medway, Kent, was arrested at Ryde Travelodge on Lind Street on Sunday, February 2.
He was charged with the following:
- Offender over 18 engage in penetrative sexual activity with a girl 13-15 years of age
- Offender aged 18 or over engage in non-penetrative activity with a girl aged 13-15
- Attempted sexual assault by penetration of a girl 13 or over.
Several police cars descended on the hotel around 4.30pm.
He appeared before Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, February 5.
The case has now been discontinued.
