“We would especially like to thank our shop colleagues and volunteers for all they have done to help Scope campaign for disability equality.”
It comes after it was reported that Scope could close more than half of its 138 charity shops across the country with forecasters anticipating losses over the next 18 months.
Speaking at the start of the year, Mark Hodgkinson, chief executive of Scope said: “Despite our best efforts our shops are losing money, a number make strong profits but there are loss making shops too.”
