Southampton is among the top 10 cities in the UK for renters, a new study has revealed.
Investment company Property Investments UK has identified the UK’s most renter heavy cities by analysing key metrics such as the overall number of rented properties, tenant satisfaction, university populations, employment rate and affordability.
Southampton charted 10th on the list, with it being noted that “Southampton’s strong job market and steady student demand ensure consistent rental opportunities, making it a smart investment choice."

The study concluded that more than 52,000 properties are rented in Southampton, with 15 per cent of young adults aged 18 to 24 living in rented accommodation.
Manchester, Norwich, and Nottingham topped the list as the UK’s top cities for renters.
